Rangers join forces with Searcy Youth Soccer

By Chris Murphy, 05/09/22, 3:45PM CDT

We at the Little Rock Rangers are excited to announce our partnership with the Searcy Youth Soccer Association. Searcy represents a storied location in the Central Arkansas youth soccer landscape, and we see it as a great privilege to build the Searcy Rangers Academy as a standalone club that will offer top-level training from committed and qualified coaches. We have always believed that the key to a vibrant and dynamic youth soccer community in Central Arkansas is the independent growth of youth programs in different areas. We are grateful that the good people at Searcy Youth Soccer have agreed to this partnership and will continue to invest fully in our mission of bringing youth soccer in Central Arkansas to the highest possible level, through collaborative efforts with like-minded stakeholders in the greater Central Arkansas soccer community.
“We are thrilled about the partnership with Searcy Youth Soccer that aligns with our mission to grow the game in Central Arkansas at every level. We want to continue building a sense of community where players can grow up playing local matches in their hometowns, while also having the opportunity to compete in regional events through our USL Academy platform.

As a gesture of this collaboration, we are sending one of our top coaches, Peter Smith, to manage the program in Searcy as the Searcy Rangers Technical Director. Peter Comes with a wealth of coaching experience at the college and youth level. Most importantly, he has always been a member of our Central Arkansas soccer community, and his ideas come from the local perspective of one who has witnessed and worked within this landscape for decades, as a player and coach, and who always has accorded himself with the highest ability and integrity.”
—Ante Jazic: Little Rock Rangers Technical Director
“Searcy Youth Soccer’s partnership with the Little Rock Rangers soccer club will help ensure that Searcy continues to have opportunities to offer kids a path to compete locally, regionally, and nationally in the world’s most popular sport.”
—Todd Wyatt: President, Searcy Youth Soccer Association
“Searcy has been a consistent presence in soccer in Central Arkansas for the past 30 years; and I’m excited to use all the resources that the Rangers have to further growth and opportunities for players and families.”
—Peter Smith: Searcy Rangers Academy Technical Director
