Little Rock, Ark. - It was a night full of fun and excitement for the Little Rock Rangers who knocked off Mississippi Brilla 2-1 in a tightly contested USL League Two matchup. After taking a first lead, the Stags found a winner after allowing an early second half goal.

Kai Phillip opened the scoring after a through ball was played by Donal Rahill. Phillip sneaked under the Brilla goalkeeper who came off the ground about 35 yards out of his net, crashing into the defender. It was about a 20 yard stroll into the back of the net for Phillip. The Stags controlled the entire first half only allowing one true chance which was calmly collected by Justin Hinman.

The second half started in favor of the guests who had a rifled shot find the top corner. It wasn’t too long before the Rangers scored the eventual winner when Phillip turned a defender and played a through ball down the left side for Spencer Barber who put in a low-cross which met the out-stretched leg of Lance Crabtree.

The Rangers travel to Texas United next Saturday for their final away match of the season before returning home for the season finale against Krewe on July 16th.
