Rangers bring home three points to push closer to playoffs

Clinton, Mississippi - A four hour trip just outside of Jackson, Mississippi did not throw off the Rangers who ran out winners against fourth-place side, Mississippi Brilla. The Stags scored four times and kept a clean sheet in what ended up being a very one-sided match.

Pascal Corvino opened the scoring with a beautiful free-kick that curled around the wall and flew into the back of the net, giving the goalkeeper, Andreas Kokoska, a former Ranger, no chance. Minutes into the second half Marvin Sibanda doubled the Rangers lead after a poor pass from the Brilla defense fell right to the feet of Nyasha Dube. Dube then fed the ball to Sibanda to slot it home from about 10-yards out.

Lance Crabtree made his return to the squad in style after being brought on as a substitute, he bagged two goals to seal the match, first an assist coming from Ethan Blake and the second coming from Pablo Guillen. Tomas Wroblewski made multiple saves to keep yet another clean sheet.

The Rangers are back at home next Saturday night for another match against Mississippi Brilla. Kickoff is set for 7 PM on July 24th at War Memorial. The theme for the match is Y’all Means All Night.
